This was an Installation I made for a show at the Nierman Museum/Johnson county community college in Kansas City 2005. The Signs are songs evocative of a lover I had had and the logs have records inside. I was imagining what music had formed the part of me that was attractive to that specific lover. The wall painting was floating graffitti of song titles that referenced unattainable perfection..

Great installation Erik. I love the great lakes vernacular signs with the urban song titles and the birch tree/record sculptures. But mostly the introspection of the work as a whole, Joni Mitchell disappearing into space says it all. - Thomas Hellstrom
